The carriers are struggling with empty equipment in Asia as for more than 12 months no new equipment has been built and additional containers are only expected to enter the market in July - so carriers have now announced a possible ERC (Equipment Repositioning Charge) to take effect on June 15 or maybe delayed to July 1, 2010 of:
